Due to the increase of forest fires, deforestation, pest infestation, and persistent dryness, the condition of our forests has become noticeably worse in recent years. The healthy tree population is decreasing, and at the same time, old buildings and unused structures – important retreats for many animal species, including bats – are increasingly disappearing.
These developments are putting additional pressure on already threatened bat populations. Celsion is therefore not only committed to fire protection, but also actively involved in species conservation. Together with students from the Schlieben School in Zittau (Germany), we have built special nesting boxes for bats and installed them at selected locations.
In this way, we are creating new habitats for the animals and ensuring their survival.
